Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and National Development, Sim Ann was leading the headlines recently for disrespecting a performing singer-songwriter Bernice Lee, 22, during the WWF Earth Hour Festival at Esplanade on Saturday, March 25.

In the video, she was ushered in while the performance was on going. She can be seen standing in the front row and shaking hands with the audience. While the organisers claim that “Upon her arrival at the seat, some members of the audience rose to greet her. We would like to emphasise that there was no intention of disrespecting the artistes, performers or audience, and we regret any disruption that we may have inadvertently caused.” But on the other hand, we took a closer look at the video by Krsytajoy (tiktok) and realise that Sim Ann was actually actively reaching out to the audience to greet instead.
